Artist Statement

My work is an exploration of history, nature, and the passage of time, interpreted through intuition and reflection. Each piece emerges from a deeply instinctual process, where forms take shape organically, and meaning crystallizes only after I step back and observe the finished composition.

Recurring themes in my paintings—weathered structures, ancient figures, natural landscapes—evoke a sense of movement, erosion, and transformation. Titles such as "Procession," "Byzantine Shamble," and "Nemrut Tumble" speak to both physical and metaphysical journeys, where civilizations rise and fall, and nature reclaims its space. Similarly, works like "Valley Cedar" and "Sky Pilots" highlight the raw beauty of the land, capturing the interplay between rootedness and change.

Texture, color, and expressive lines guide my process, allowing history and emotion to intertwine on the canvas. By working intuitively, I invite viewers to engage with these images on their own terms—to step into a moment of reflection and discover their own narratives within the layers of paint and meaning.
